CHEVROLET AND FORD VEHICLES
City Council to consider approval for the award of RFB 415 -2014 for Chevrolet and Ford
vehicles to Classic Chevrolet and Sam Pack Five Star Ford.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds are available in accounts 325 - 48910 - 209 -14 -0024, 325- 48910 - 118 -14 -0025, 325-
48910- 417 -14 -0027, 325 - 48910 - 415 -14 -0028, 325 - 48910- 108 -14 -0036, 200- 48910 -530-
1 and 200 - 48910 -531 -1 for an amount not to exceed $349,658.02.

Bids were taken in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter
B, Section 252.021 (a) and Section 252.041 (a). The bid was advertised in the Fort
Worth Star Telegram on February 20 and 27, 2014. There were 78 vendors notified
electronically of the bid through the eBid system. Five vendors submitted bids. The bids
were opened publicly on March 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

Sam Pack Five Star Ford $152,864.02
Randol Reed's Presige Ford $159,740.00
Chevrolet Vehicles
Classic Chevrolet $196,794.00
Caldwell Country Chevrolet $202,275.00
Reliable Chevrolet $204,944.74
Sam Pack Five Star Ford and Classic Chevrolet are the lowest responsible and
responsive bidders for their respective vehicles.

This purchase is for eight Chevrolet and six Ford vehicles on the Vehicle and Equipment
Replacement List for FY2014 Budget, replacing vehicles in Police, Public Works, Utility
Department and one Increase Service Level vehicle for the Utility Department.
Staff recommends approval.
