� �. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 96-70,
RELATIVE TO THE FISCAL YEAR 1996-97 BUDGET BY
AMENDING SECTION 4; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS:
Section 1 . That Ordinance No. 96-70, relative to the Fiscal Year 1996-1997
Budget is hereby amended by amending Section 4. in its entirety to read as follows:
"Section 4. That the City Manager is authorized to approve expenditures up to
$15,000. Any expenditures over the S 15,000.00 limit require the approval of
the City Council."
�`" ° Section 2. That the City Manager be and is hereby authorized to make the
appropriate change to the budget to reflect the change noted above.

Section 3. That a true copy of this ordinance amending the Fiscal Year 1996-97
budget shall be filed with the City Secretary and attached to the budget originally
adopted.
Section 4. The fact that the present ordinances and regulations of the City of
Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals,
peace and general welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that this
ordinance become effective from and after the date of its passage, and it is
accordingly so ordained.
