ORDINANCE NO. g7-o4
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 96-70,
AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 97-01 , RELATIVE TO
THE FISCAL YEAR 1996-97 BUDGET BY AMENDING
SECTION 1 ; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the development of a Storm Drainage Utility System is in the
interest of the City of Grapevine; and
WHEREAS, the limited staff time has necessitated the additional consultant
time to complete the development of the system; and
WHEREAS, final cost for consultant services in the development of this system
have risen by $ 21 ,775 as a result of the additional consultant time required; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the 1991 GO Bond Fund Balance
to pay for the added cost.

�• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all of the above premises are true and correct and are hereby
incorporated into this Ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That additional funds in the amount of 521 ,775.00 are appropriated
for expenditure for the Storm Drainage Utility Program in the General Government
Capital Projects Fund.
Section 3. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 96-70, as amended by Ordinance
No. 96-99, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1 . That the appropriation amounts for the FY97 budget for different
funds of the City of Grapevine are hereby fixed as follows:

Section 4. That the City Manager be and is hereby authorized to make the
appropriate change to the budget to reflect the change noted above.
Section 5. That a true copy of this ordinance amending the Fiscal Year
1996-97 budget shall be filed with the City Secretary and attached to the budget
originally adopted.
Section 6. The fact that the present ordinances and regulations of the City of
Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals,
peace and general welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that this
ordinance become effective from and after the date of its passage, and it is

accordingly so ordained.
