HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 08 - Generator MaintenanceMEMOTO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: BRUNO RUMBELOW, CITY MANAGER MEETING DATE: JUNE 16, 2020 SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO RENEW AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR GENERATOR MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the renewal of an annual contract for generator maintenance with Loftin Equipment Company for the Public Works Department. FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Utility Enterprise Fund (200-43370-534-000) for an annual estimated amount of $18,200. BACKGROUND: The purpose of this contract is to establish fixed annual pricing for required load bank testing and the quarterly maintenance plan for the City's 10 lift station generators. Bids were taken in accordance with the City Purchasing policy. Formal bids and advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000. The contract was for an initial one-year period with five optional, one-year renewals. If approved, this will be for the first renewal. Staff recommends approval. DR/LW
