He gave a brief overview of the preliminary statement of account and report on the overall success of the two-day event. The proposed resolution was read into the record. Mayor Pro Tem Ware made a motion to adopt the resolution honoring the Main Street Days volunteers. There have been demographic studies to � shaw the area to be in need of a day care facility at that location. Mr. Glen ; Mathews, of LaPetite Academy, addressed the Council and Commissioners, noting $ the academy had been trying to locate in Grapevine during the past years. � � E During discussion, there were co�nts and questions concerning State require- � ments for minimt�n square feet of playground area per child and the parking � and driveway turn around area. Brief discussion ensued with co�nts concerning the phasing of the proposed develo�lt. It was noted the professional office w�uld be the first phase developed. Mayor Pov�rs invited those guests present to co�nent either for or against the requested zoning change. Mr. Washington stated there would be 92 lots (60' X 110' deep) � I within the proposed develognent. He also advised there wr�uld be 30,000 square A feet of open space dedicated for park land. � � � There was brief discussion concerning the zoning of the surrounding property. � e Mayor Po�rs then invited those present to speak relative to the proposed :_` zoning change.
