ORDINANCE NO. 94-73
„�, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 93-42
RELATING TO THE FISCAL YEAR 1993-94 BUDGET BY
AMENDING SECTION 1; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine desires to establish a lease fund for capital
purchases beginning in the fiscal year starting October 1, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the establishment of the lease fund will save the City thousands of
dollars in interest and fiscal charges; and
WHEREAS, the establishment of the fund will require a capital contribution from
the General Fund of S 1,700,000.00 in the fiscal year ending September 30, 1994 to
establish this fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

Section 1 . That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and
are hereby incorporated into the body of this ordinance as if copied in their entirety
herein.
Section 2. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 93-42, dated September 14, 1993,
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1 . That the appropriation amounts for the FY94 budget for General
Fund of the City of Grapevine is hereby fixed as follows:
General Fund . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . S18,266,070.00
Lease Fund Capital Contribution . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . S 1,700,000.00'�
Section 3. That the City Manager be and is hereby authorized to make the
appropriate change to the budget to reflect the change noted above.
Section 4. A true copy of this ordinance amending the Fiscal Year 1993-94
�„�,„ budget shall be filed with the City Secretary and attached to the budget originally
adopted, and the City Manager is hereby directed to file or cause to be filed a true
copy of the amendment in the office of the County Clerks of Tarrant, Dallas and
Denton Counties.
Section 5. The fact that the present ordinances and regulations of the City of
� " Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals,
peace and general welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that this

ordinance become effective from and after the date of its passage, and it is
accordingly so ordained.
