BOB LINDLEY {B & B AU'.Ln BC1DY) The first order of business was for the Ci�y Council and Planning & Zoning � Cc�mission to conduct a �ublic hearing relative to Zoning Agplicat�.an Z87-I9 sul�t�i.tted by Mr. Bob Lindley. � �: The public hearing was declared open by Mayor Powers. � ' [ ' Director of Coimnanity Develognent H. T. Hardy advised the subject 25,000 square foot tract was located at 515 East Northwest Highway. The requested rezaning is frcan "CC" Cce�munity Ct�mercial Zoning District ta "HC" Highway Cc�mercial Zaning District for the purpase of uti.lizing an exi�ting structure for an autc�nobil.e body repair shap. The Mas�er Plan reca�n�nended use is Ccennunity Comnercial for the subjec�. site. � x x� Mr. Bill Hudson, real estate agent, addressed the City Council and the � Planni.ng & Zoning Gc�m.ission regarding the zoning of the property and �; perm.i.tted uses under the current zaning. He reported that after purchase of � the praperty by Mr. Bob Lindley, it was determined that the propased use of � the site as an aut�nobile body repair shop wauld not be permitted as �aned. Mr. Bob Lindley then addressed the Council and Cca�mission regarding the � rezaning of the site ta "HC" Highway Camtx:�rcial for a body shop, without � outside storage. � City Council and Planning & Zaning Cca�inission discussed the variances needed � on the tract. �. � Mayor Pac�rers then inquired if �here were guests present who wished to coznnent � either for or against the zoning request. BOB LINDLEY, (B & B AU'I�0 BODY SHOP) � The last item of business was for the City Council to consider was the � recammendation of the Planning & Zoning Cc�mission relative to Zoning Appli- � � cation Z87-19 (Lindley) and a subsequent ordinance, if applicable. Planning & Zoning Ccgrmission Chairman Ron Cook reported their vote was (6-0) fi to deny the request for rezoning of the subject tract. Follawing Council � deliberation, the concensus was that consideration be given to allowing an € auto body repair shop completely within an enclosed building as a conditiorial � use of the "CC" Camnznity Ca��ercial Zoning District. ; � Council Nle.mber Traverse then made a motion to accept the Planning & Zoning � Cca�mission rec�ndation for denial of the zoning request. The motion was � seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Ware and prevailed by the following vote: ' � { t � Ayes .
