HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1992-054 ORDINANCE NO. g2-54 � AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY rr,�.• OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER l, 1992 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1993; PROVIDING FOR INTRA- AND INTER-DEPARTMENTAL FUND TRANSFER; PROVIDING FOR INVESTMENT OF CERTAIN FUNDS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing on the budget for the City of Grapevine, Texas for the fiscal year 1992-93 (FY93) was heretofore published in accordance with law; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held and all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item therein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: '�� Section 1. That the appropriation amounts for the FY93 budget for the different funds of the City of Grapevine are hereby fixed i� as follows: General Fund $15, 015, 066 Utility (Water & Wastewater Fund) 8, 234,444 Debt Service Fund 4,741,566 CVB Fund 2, 163,286 Golf Fund 1,430,483 General Govt. Capital Projects Fund 13 , 222, 617 Firemen's Relief & Retirement Fund 4, 000 Fleet Fund 650, 140 Insurance Fund 1,781, 698 Heritage Foundation Fund 428,250 Section 2. That a copy of the official adopted 1992-93 budget document shall be kept on file in the office of the City Secretary and the Grapevine Public Library. Section 3 . That the City Manager be and is hereby authorized to make intra-and inter-departmental fund transfers during the fiscal year as becomes necessary in order to avoid over-expenditure of a particular object code and report all fund transfers between � departments over $5, 000. 00 to the City Council. Section 4. That the City Manager is authorized to approve expenditures up to $5, 000. 00. Any expenditures over the $5, 000. 00 '�'' limit require the approval of the City Council. Section 5. That the City Manager and/or Finance Director is authorized to invest any funds not needed for current use, whether operating funds or bond funds in the United States Treasury Bills, Certificates of Deposit, Savings Accounts, Time Deposits, Open Accounts in Official City Depositories, or any other investment instrument authorized in the Texas Public Funds Investment Act of 1987. Section 6. The fact that the fiscal year begins on October 1, 1992 requires that this ordinance be effective upon its passage and adopted to preserve the public peace, property, health, and safety and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and adoption, and emergency is hereby declared.
