�' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS ABANDONING AND VACATING A
, PORTION OF AN EXISTING UTILITY AND DRAINAGE
'�' EASEMENT LOCATED IN LOT 23R, BLOCK 9,
GRAPEVINE LAKE ESTATES SECTION 2, IN THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, a portion of a utility and drainage easement located
in Lot 23R, Block 9, Grapevine Lake Estates Section 2, in the City
of Grapevine, Texas as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein for all purposes, is not needed for public use
and will not be needed in the future for public use; and
WHEREAS, abandoning and vacating this portion of said utility
and drainage easement will relieve the City of Grapevine, Texas
from the cost and expense of maintaining said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:

Section 1. That all the matters stated in the preamble of
�his ordinance are true and correct and are hereby incorporated
�' into the body of this ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That a portion of an existing utility and drainage
easement located in Lot 23R, Block 9, Grapevine Lake Estates
Section 2, an addition to the City of Grapevine, Texas, recorded in
Volume 388-92, Page 53 , Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas ancl
as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, is
hereby abandoned and vacated for public use and the same is hereby
abandoned and vacated insofar as all public right, title, ancl
interest in and to said described portion of said u�ility and
drainage easement is concerned.
Section 3 . That the terms and provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed to be severable, and that if the validity of any
section, subsection, word, sentence or phrase shall be held to be
invalid, it shall not affect the remaining part of this ordinance.
Section 4 . The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to
properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace and general
welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that this
,.�� ordinance become effective from and after the date of its passage.

TO BE ABANDONED BY CITY ORDINANCE .AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED

BEGINN:NG at a point in the West line of said existing
utility and drainage easement, said point being 5.0 feet
North and S.0 feet S. 890 - 23 ' _ 22" W, from the South-
east corner of said Lot 23-R;
THENCE S. 89� - 23� - 22" W. 3.0 feet along the North line of an
existing 5.0 foot drainage and utility easement to a
point in same for corner;
THENCE North 8.0 feet from and parallel to the East line of
said Lot 23-R, 92.0 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N. 89° - 23' - 22" E. 3.0 feet along the extended Nortn
