CALL TO ORDER Mayor Pow�ers called the meeting to order. APPLIC.AlV'I' REVIEW The purpose of the meeting was to allow the 1986 applicants for the Planning & � Zoning Ccmnission and the Board of Zoning P,djustments to briefly present their background and qualifications for appointrnent. 1 The following persons addressed the City Council: 1. Mr. Tim Lancaster � 1025 Oakhurs Mayor Powers then assigned Council NIQ.mbers as representatives on citizen cc�mittees and as members of Council cc�mittees. 1 � � 5/13/86 � � € MISC�I.LANEOUS REPORTS AND/OR DISCUSSION X � Miscellaneous topics included activities of the Board of Zoning Adjustznents and certain variance requests. � The recently formed Chamber of Ccxmierce Legislative Cca�mittee was also noted. 3 This cammittee has been form�d to keep a.breast of Council actions affecting the business c�munity. As an initial project, they are reviewing the siyri ordinance and the landscaping ordinance to make recammendations for Council and Planni.ng & Zoning C�mission consideration. �- ADJOLTRI�IMIIV'r There being no further business to come before the City Council, a motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Mayor Pro Tem Ware and seconded by Council Member Spencer. The motion prevailed by the ensuing vote: Ayes . Powers, Ware, Glynn, Spencer, Wilbanks, & Niedermeier ; Nays .
