SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR THE AWARD OF AN INFORMAL QUOTE FOR
ROOF TOP UNITS
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval to award an informal quote for two roof top units from
CJ Services.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds for this purchase are available in account 115 - 43350- 351 -01 (Permanent Capital
Maintenance Fund) in the amount not to exceed $16,403.00.
Quotes were taken in accordance with City Purchasing Policy. Formal bids and
advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000. Four vendors submitted
quotations.
CJ Services submitted the lowest responsive and responsible quote.
These purchases will secure one new replacement HVAC, five -ton, roof -top, gas
package unit and one new replacement 12.5 -ton, roof -top, gas package unit for the
Grapevine Convention Center.
Staff recommends approval.
