ORDINANCE NO. 98-97 <br /> :':dS-..�:':. <br /> �4 M AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AMENDING THE GRAPEVINE CODE <br /> OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 20-7, RELATIVE TO STREET <br /> NAME CHANGES; PROVIDING FOR THE NAME CHANGE <br /> OF A CERTAIN STREET; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY <br /> CLAUSE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> WHEREAS, on September 2, 1997, the Grapevine City Council renamed Bethel <br /> Road, from State Highway 26 to the city limit line, as Bass Pro Boulevard; and <br /> WHEREAS, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) erected overhead <br /> highway signs reflecting the roadway name as "Bass Pro Drive"; and <br /> WHEREAS, the expense to modify the signs cannot be justified, and it is not <br /> desirable to change the overhead highway signs, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is desirable to maintain consistency between the Grapevine Code of <br /> Ordinances and the name on the overhead highway signs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the abutting property owner is agreeable to the name change to Bass <br /> Pro Drive. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> GRAPEVINE, TEXAS: <br /> Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and are <br /> incorporated into the body of this ordinance as if copied in their entirety. <br /> Section 2. That Chapter 20, Section 20-7 Street Name Changes of the Grapevine <br /> Code of Ordinances is hereby amended by the addition of the following street name <br /> change: <br /> "Bass Pro Boulevard from State Highway 26 to the city limit line is hereby <br /> designated and shall hereafter be known as Bass Pro Drive." <br /> Section 3. All provisions of Section 20-7 not specifically amended herein shall <br /> �� <br /> remain in full force and effect and shall not be amended by the adoption of this ordinance. <br /> Section 4.
