GRAPEVINE CITY HALL CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE CONFERENCE ROOM 200 SOUTH MAIN STREET CALL TO ORDER: 4:30 CITIZEN COMMENTS 1. Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Board of Commissioners under Citizen Comments or on any other agenda item by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form with the Executive Director. A member of the public may address the Board of Commissioners regarding an item on the agenda either before or during the Board's consideration of the item, upon being recognized by the Chair of the Board or upon the consent of the Board. In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Board is restricted in discussing or taking action during Citizen Comments. REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (INFORMATIONAL ON 2. Consideration and approval of Resolution No. 20-05 to authorize the Executive Director to enter into a contract with John Blakeway, CPA. 5. Consideration and approval of Resolution 20-07 to authorize the Executive Director to enter into a contract with Preservation Tree. 6. Consideration and acceptance of the May 2020 monthly financial statements and take necessary action. Citizen Comments No Citizen comments. Item #2. Report of the Executive Dire t r.(Information l Only) A. Rent Delinquency and Information Sheet The Executive Director reported to the Board on the rent delinquencies, number of empty units, work orders and statistical information for the waiting list for Public Housing through June 22, 2020. B. Ca ital Funds Report and Work in Progress The Executive Director reported to the Board on the current Capital Funds and corresponding projects. The 2018 Capital Fund is closed. Grapevine Housing is spending funds from the 2019 and 2020 Capital Fund grants. C. Deport of Public Housing Activity and Issues The housing office remains closed to the public. The staff works out of the office Monday — Wednesday and Friday and works from home on Thursdays. The Executive Director gage an update on the waiting list and anticipates opening the waiting list for the efficiency unit only the end of July. Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu moved and Commissioner Anderson seconded to accept the May 28, 2020 minutes as presented. Ayes: Troeger, McHugh, Rice, Anderson & Rhodes -Cantu Nays: None Motion passed Item #4 - Consideration and approval of Resolution No. 20-06 to authorize the Executive Director to enter into a contract with John Blakeway, CPA. The Board was presented with a bid for annual audit services for December 31, 2019. Commissioner McHugh moved and Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu seconded to approve Resolution No. 20-06 to authorize the Executive Director to enter into a contract with John Blakeway, CPA. Ayes: Troeger, McHugh, Rice, Anderson & Rhodes -Cantu Nays: None Motion passed Item #5 - Consideration and ai)r)roval of Resolution No. 20-07 authorizina the Executive Director to enter into a contract with Preservation Tree, The Board was presented with bids for annual tree maintenance. Commissioner Rice suggested the Executive Director speak with the tree company regarding the emerald ash borer beetle which is threatening ash trees in Tarrant County. The housing authority may have to treat the ash trees or remove them from property, Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu moved and Commissioner McHugh seconded to approve Resolution No. 20-07 authorizing the Executive Director to enter into a contract with Preservation Tree Ayes: Troeger, McHugh, Rice. -Anderson & Rhodes -Cantu Nays- None Motion passed - Item #6 - Consideration and accer)tance of the Mav 2020 monthIv financial statement and take necessary action The Board was presented with electronic copies of the May 2020 monthly financial statement Commissioner Rice moved and Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu seconded to accept the May 2020 monthly financial statement. Ayes: Troeger, McHugh, Rice, Anderson & Rhodes -Cantu Nays- None Motion passed ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Rice moved and Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu seconded that the meeting be adjourned, Ayes- Troeger, McHugh, Rice, Anderson & Rhodes -Cantu Nays: None Motion passed.
