on the subject site at the November 21, 2000 meeting but was denied. Conditional use
request CU01 -27 was approved on this site for the Classic Hummer dealership on June 19,
2001. The site was subsequently amended at the February 19, 2003 meeting (CU02 -03)
and allowed for an expansion of the Hummer dealership building, and the relocation of the
Classic Chevrolet used truck operation to the site. A 20 -foot pole sign was also approved.
At the November 19, 2002 public hearing Council approved a revision (CU02 -49) to the
Hummer dealership site that included a 5.3 acre addition to the site for a lube and tune
center, a vehicle washing area, and an employee parking lot. The Site Plan Review
Committee at their December 18, 2002 meeting (CU02 -51) approved an increase from 7-
feet to 10 -feet and from 48 square feet to 85 square feet for a monument sign at the
Hummer dealership site. The Site Plan Review Committee at their July 23, 2003 meeting

Classic Chevrolet is the #1 selling Chevrolet dealership in America for 8 years in a row. With the
completion of the highway construction, Mr. Durant anticipates an even higher sales volume. He
believes that he can hold on to the top seller title for years to come.
With that, Mr. Durant needs to develop additional inventory space for new vehicles. The undeveloped
portion of his property at Stone Myers and Prospect is crisscrossed with various easements and building
a structure is not feasible. Therefore, this area will be improved. The improvements include
approximately 3.3 acres of concrete paving, lighting, canopies, security railing, landscaping, and (1) 20'
illuminated sign. The existing creek channel will be improved, using box culverts for drivability.
We do not believe the improvements will cause harm or loss of value to the adjoining property or
neighborhood in any way.
As always, we greatly appreciate your help on previous applications and revisions. Therefore, we
respectfully request that you consider for approval the improvements to Classic Hummer Addition.
Sincerely,
