Thank you for clarifying this for me, I have always had the final approval with the case number from I
assume, the Real Estate division in the past prior to issuing permit. I will recheck with the Fire Marshal and
if he has been satisfied will issue the permits.

Good afternoon Mr. Hunt,
Thanks for contacting me and letting me know of your concerns. Here is where we are currently at with
the requests for Scotts Landing and Silver Lake Marinas:
The requests have been received, reviewed and approved by the Grapevine Lake office and the Trinity
Regional Project Office (responsible for oversight of the Metroplex lakes). The requests were then
forwarded to the Operations Division, located in Fort Worth, for review. Operations has reviewed and
approved construction of the new slips at both locations, and has forwarded the requests, to the Real
Estate Division, which will issue the final approval documents for modification of each lease. The request
is being expedited, due to the time -sensitive nature of the activities, but generally speaking, the
construction activities themselves have been approved; we are waiting for the lease modification from
Real Estate, which only impacts the lease boundaries. Their requested construction activities are in-line
with their authorized slip allocation, and therefore will be allowed by USACE.

Subject: New boat slips Grapevine lake.
Jeff,
I have reviewed the boat slips and was waiting for the Corp's of Engineers approvals for the new slips. (I
had thought that they were not approving any more slips after those last ones).
The Fire Department review is also calling for quick attack pumps to be placed in close proximity to slips
with weather protection.... please check with Randie Friesinger on the fire comments.
I assume we will also have electrical and maybe plumbing plans coming??
And we will also have an Engineered inspection approval for the installation when completed prior to our
final inspections as before?
Please let me know where we are on these 3 items and confirm that we will have the Engineer inspecting
the installations after they are constructed.

reviewed the slip construction requests for Silverlake and Scotts Landing, and has forwarded them to the Fort Worth District with a
recommendation for approval. Please let me know if you need anything else.

Mr. Pedersen,
I have a copy of an e-mail that was sent by you to Jeff Rose of Scotts Marina for the new boat slips at the
Scotts Landing Marina. I have the permit applications for both Marinas and am waiting on the release we
always receive from the Corps of Engineers prior to approving any new construction at the lake.
I am contacting you to see if these requests have passed for approval by the Corps of Engineers and
asking for the official approval documents if so to add to the permit file and issue the permits for
construction.
Mr. Rose is very anxious to get started on these new slips. In the past we have not issued the permits
without the official, final approval paper work from the Corp's of Engineers and I do not intend to change
that now.
I am hoping you can update me on where we are at this point or guide me to the one who would be in
position to assist us in being able approve the construction in the most expedient manner.
I f there has been a change in the manner of these approvals or any other information we should have, I
would be appreciative for this information also.
