RESOLUTION NO. 99-33
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO SUBMIT A GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS PARKS & WILDLIFE
DEPARTMENT FOR PHASE 1 DEVELOPMENT OF
MEADOWMERE PARK; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine adopted a concept plan of
Meadowmere Park at the October 6, 1998 Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, the City Council also approved an ordinance at the July 6, 1999
meeting amending Chapter 16 Parks and Recreation, updating the Parks, Recreation &
Open Space Master Plan that includes priorities associated with the development of
Meadowmere Park; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine has the desire to develop Meadowmere Park
according to the concept plan approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department has a grant program
��� whereby they will match up to $500,000 in funds to acquire and/or develop parks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and
are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine authorizes the City
Manager or his designee to make application to the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department
for a matching grant for Phase 1 development of Meadowmere Park.
Section 3. That the City of Grapevine agrees to abide by the stipulations set
forth by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department relating to the grant program.
Section 4. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date
of its passage.
