A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS RECOGNIZING THAT CERTAIN
ACCOUNTS ARE DEEMED UNCOLLECTIBLE AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO TRANSFER THESE
ACCOUNTS TO DORMANT STATUS FOR SUBSEQUENT
COLLECTION BY THE CITY ATTORNEY OR THIRD PARTY
COLLECTION AGENCY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine staff has reviewed and analyzed the various aged
account receivables due to the City for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the probability of collecting these accounts is very remote and not
likely; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine deems that additional
collection efforts by the City Attorney or third party collection agency will best serve the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the preamble of this resolution are true and
correct and are hereby incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their
entirety.
Section 2. That such accounts as summarized and attached hereto as Exhibit"A"
are deemed uncollectible and are transferred to dormant status for collection by the City
Attorney or third party collection agency and are hereby authorized to be removed from
ledgers of the City and subsequently collected therein.
Section 3. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date of
its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 2nd day of November, 1999.
