A RESOLUTION tJF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZlNG THE CITY MANAGER
T4 ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE
H(�USTON-CALVESTON AREA C4UNCIL FOR THE
PURCHASE OF ONE 1998 AMBULANCE FOR THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT; AUTH4RIZlNG THE GITY MANAGER TQ
EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DRTE
WHEREAS, City of Grapevine staff has reviewed and analyzed the City's need for
the purchase of one 1998 ambulance for the Fire Department; and
V'UHEREAS,the Houston-Galveston Area Council is a regional planning commissian
created under the Acts of the 59th Legislature, Regular Session, 1965, recadified as
�hapter 391, Texas �ocal Government Gode; and

� WHEREAS, the Cit}r of Grapevine, Texas is of the opinion that participatian in the
interlacal agreement will be highly beneficial to the taxpayers of this City through the

anticipated savings to be realized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESQLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C1TY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and are
incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety. �
Section 2. That the City af Grapevine, Texas does request the Houston-Galveston
Area Council to include its stated need to purchase one 1998 ambulance listed an the
Houston-Galveston Area Gouncil contract, and that the City Manager, or his designee, is
authorized and directed to sign and deliver all necessary requests and other documents
in connection therewith for an on behalf af the City of Grapevine.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
