GRAPEVINE, TEXAS MAKING OFFICIAL THE FINDING
AND DETERMINATIC?N AS TO THE P4PULATIORI AND
NUMBER OF INHABITANTS OF AND WITHIN THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AS OF DECEMBER 31, 1997
' WHEREAS, the City Councii of Grapevine, Texas has found and determined
that it will be far the benefit of said City ta have a revised estimate o# the papulation
and number of inhabitants, and that the City make an official finding thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed that an unofficial census of the
population of the Cifiy of Grapevine be taken; and
WHEREAS, based upon the 1994 Census Report, City building recards, and
fihe investigation and review of the City's growth by the Development Services
Department, it has been found and determined that the City of Grapevine, Texas, as
af Dscember 31 , 1997 actually has within its limits a population of 36,268.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
+�+ 4F GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . Th�t the City Councii has afficially found and determined, and does
now find and determine, that the population of the City of Grapevine, Texas, as of
the 31 st day of December 1997 is 36,268.
Section 2. That the City Secretary is hereby directed to farward a copy of this
resolution to the Texas Highway Department so that they may change the population
signs on the roads and highways entering and leaving the City of Grapevine, Texas.
