A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN
THE PURCHASING PROGRAMS OF THE STATE
PURCHASING AND GENERAL SERVICES COMMISSION
FOR CERTAIN ITEMS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS AND DOCUMENTS AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, pursuant to the authority granted by
Article 664-7, V.T.C.S., as amended, desires to participate in described purchasing
programs of the State Purchasing and General Services Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas, is of the opinion that participation in these
programs will be highly beneficial to the taxpayers of this City through the anticipated
savings to be realized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the City of Grapevine, Texas, does request the State Purchasing
_. . and General Services Commission under the Qualified Information Systems Vendor
Program to include its stated need for:
Quantity Description
88 Personal Computers including software
88 17" Monitors
on the Commission's annual contracts for these items, whereby the City of Grapevine may
be allowed to purchase these items from the annual contract; and that the Director of
Administrative Services or his designee, is authorized and directed to sign and deliver all
necessary requests and other documents in connection therewith for and on behalf of the
City of Grapevine.
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
