� A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE
HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL FOR THE
PURCHASE OF TWO FORD CROWN VICTORIA POLICE
PATROL CARS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT;
AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID
AGREEMENT AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine staff has reviewed and analyzed the City's
need for the purchase of two Ford Crown Victoria Police Patrol Cars for the Police
Department; and
WHEREAS, the Houston-Galveston Area Council is a regional planning
commission created under Acts of the 59th Legislature, Regular Session, 1965,
recodified as Chapter 391 , Texas Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is of the opinion that participation in
'"�"° the interlocal agreement will be highly beneficial to the taxpayers of this City through
the anticipated savings to be realized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City of Grapevine, Texas does request the Houston-
Galveston Area Council to include its stated need to purchase two Ford Crown
Victoria Police Patrol Cars for the Police Department listed on the Houston-Galveston
Area Council contract, and that the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized and
directed to sign and deliver all necessary requests and other documents in connection
therewith for and on behalf of the City of Grapevine.
Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
