RESOLUTION NO. 96-43
,�,,�, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 2 OF
RESOLUTION NO. 92-20, ADOPTED JULY 7, 1992 WHICH
ESTABLISHED GATE ADMISSION FEES DURING CITY
FESTIVALS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the residents of the City of Grapevine and surrounding areas have
enjoyed and benefitted from Main Street Days and GrapeFest, two annual festivals
conducted on Main Street in the City of Grapevine; and
WHEREAS, the festivals conducted by the Grapevine Heritage Foundation have
grown each year and now attract over 160,000 attendees annually, greatly benefiting
the economy of the City of Grapevine and encouraging its economic growth and
development; and
WHEREAS, gate admission fees for all Main Street Days and GrapeFest festivals
provide charitable fund raising opportunities for participating organizations and provide
funding for the Grapevine Heritage Foundation for ongoing preservation and education
activities which benefit citizens and visitors alike.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all matters stated in the preamble of this resolution are true
and correct and are hereby incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied
in their entirety.
Section 2. That Section 2 of Resolution 92-20, dated July 7, 1992, as
amended by Resolution No. 95-10, adopted April 4, 1995; as amended by Resolution
No. 96-07 adopted March 5, 1996 be amended in its entirety to read as follows:
"That admission fees be collected from all citizens and guests entering Main
Street Days and GrapeFest festivals. The City Council of the City of Grapevine
hereby establishes admission fees for festivals as follows: Children five (5)
years and under shall be admitted free, Children ages 6 to 12 and Senior
Citizens 60 and over shall be admitted for S 1 .00, with a maximum fee of
52.00; Patrons 13 - 59, 55.00; and 57.00, with a maximum of $10.00, for a
weekend pass. That the Grapevine Heritage Foundation provides advance-
purchase opportunities to patrons."

Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.

l. The City Council of said Ciry convened in Re�utar Session on September 17, I996,at the cegular
meeting place thereof, and rhe ro(1 was called of the duly constituted officers and members of said City
Council, to-wit:

Sharron Spencer, Council Member

thus constituting a quorum. Whereupon,among other business,the following was transacted at said meeting:

ISSLTE REVENIJE BONDS was duly introduced for consideration of said City Council and read in full. It
was then duly moved and seconded that said Resolution be passed; and, after due discussion, said motion,
carrying with it the passa�e of said Resolution, prevailed and carried by the following vote:

members was duly and sufficiently norified officially and personally in advance,of the time,piace and purpose
oi the aforesaid meeting and that said Resolurion would be introduced and considered for passage at said
