A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
1996 CITY OFFICERS ELECTION AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, there came to be considered the returns of an election held on the
4th day of May, 1996 for the purpose of electing the hereinafter named officials, and
it appearing from said returns, duly and legally made, that there were cast at said
election 442 valid and legal votes; and
WHEREAS, each of the candidates in said election received the following votes:
COUNCIL, PLACE 5

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That said election was duly called; that notice of said election was
given in accordance with law; and that said election was held in accordance with law;
and that the following named person was duly elected to the office indicated:
Council, Place 5 Ted R. Ware
Council, Place 6 Roy Stewart
Section 2. That the said above persons are hereby declared duly elected to said
respective office, subject to the taking of the oath and filing bond as provided by the
, laws of this State and the ordinances of this City.
Section 3. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date
