RESOLUTION NO. 94-08
�,,, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING A NORTHWEST
HIGHWAY COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Grapevine are deeply
concerned about the well being of the business interests in the Northwest Highway
Corridor; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grapevine feels that it is a matter of
public necessity that the business owners and property owners in the Northwest
Highway corridor are informed of impending issues relating to the Northwest Highway
Widening Project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council feels that there is a need to create a Northwest
Highway Communications Committee to assist the City staff and consultants in
facilitating two-way communication between themselves and the property owners and
business owners in the Northwest Highway corridor; and

WHEREAS, the City Council desires the committee to consist of fifteen (15)
�+ members who may also jointly serve on other City boards and committees and such
members shall be property or business owners in the Northwest Highway corridor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the Northwest Highway Communication Committee is hereby
created, the composition of said committee shall consist of fifteen (15) members who
are business and property owners in the Northwest Highway corridor and may or may
not be presently serving on a City board or committee.
Section 2. That the purpose of the Communication Committee shall be:
A. To act in an informational dissemination capacity between the
City and consultant staff and the business and property owners
of the Northwest Highway corridor to advise the owners of the
progress in the various stages of the project.
B. To aid the staff and consultants in identifying and addressing
� concerns of the property owners and business owners in the
corridor through regularly scheduled meetings between the
committee members, City staff and consultant staff.

Section 3. That two City Council members shall be appointed by the Mayor
as ex-officio members of the committee.
Section 4. That the Chairman of the committee shall be appointed by the
Mayor.
Section 5. That the committee shall remain in effect for the duration of the
design and construction of the Northwest Highway Widening Project.
Section 6. That this resolution shall become effective from and after the date
of its passage.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 22nd day of March , 1994.
