+�r A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, DIRECTING STAFF TO
PROCEED WITH THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT FOR
PARTICIPATION IN THE AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL
PROGRAM THROUGH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF
AGRICULTURE AND TEXAS FOREST SERVICE
PROVIDING FOR A MUNICIPAL TREE INVENTORY AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, it is the considered belief and opinion of the
Grapevine City Council that participation in such a program will
best serve the needs of the community; and
WHEREAS, the Grapevine City Council is of the opinion that
such participation may provide for the efficient use of City
Resources; and
WHEREAS, the Grapevine City Council is of the opinion that the
providing for a Municipal Tree Inventory will benefit the overall
community.
��' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:

Section 1. That a Grant for the City of Grapevine has been
awarded for participation in the America The Beautiful Program.
Section 2 . That the purpose of the Grant is:
A. Participation in Federal Funds for the benefit of
the City of Grapevine.
B. Provide for the enhancement in the appearance of
the City of Grapevine.
Section 3 . The development and implementation of the Grant
application and project will be coordinated through the City of
Grapevine Parks & Recreation Department. The City Council hereby
authorizes Mark Watson, City Manager, to enter into the agreement
and all other necessary documents with the Texas Forest Service in
connection with the Grant application and project.
Section 4 . That this resolution shall be effective from and
after the date of its passage.
