A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 89-29 PASSED
SEPTEMBER 5, 1989 REGARDING A GRANT
APPLICATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE
LANDSCAPE DEVELOPMENT MATCHING PROGRAM
THROUGH THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE
�� DEPARTMENT BY AMENDING SECTION 4; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
`'� WHEREAS, on September 5 , 1989, the City Council of the City
of Grapevine, Texas (the "City") passed Resolution No. 89-29
regarding a grant application for participation in the landscape
development matching program through the Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department; and
WHEREAS, the City is redesignating "Parr Park and Creekwood
Park" to "The Big Bear Creek Nature Preserve and Park System" .
Resolution No. 89-29 must be amended to reflect this
redesignation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section l . That all of the matters stated in the preamble
of this resolution are hereby incorporated into the body of this
resolution as though fully set for therein.
Section 2 . That Section 4 of Resolution No. 89-29 passed by
*�`�' the City Council on September 5 , 1989 is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"Section 4 . The "Applicant" hereby specifically
authorizes the officials designated in Sections 2 and 3
to make application to Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department and take any other necessary action in
connection with making application concerning the sites
to be known as The Big Bear Creek Nature Preserve and
Park System in the City of Grapevine for use as park
sites. That the above named park system is hereby
dedicated (or will be dedicated upon completion of the
proposed acquisition) for public outdoor recreation
purposes in perpetuity. "
Section 3 . That this resolution shall become effective
immediately from and after the date of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 17th day of July , 1990 .
