The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Te�s met in Special Session on
this the 8th day of April, 1985 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Ch�nbers, 413 Main
Street, with the following members present to wit:

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tate.
INVOCATION
Mayor Pro Tem Ware delivered. the Invocation.
RESOLUTION, DDCLARING RESULTS OF 1985 CITY OFFICERS II�I'ION
The purpose of this Special i�eeting was for the City Council to consider a
'"��' resolution declaring the results of the 1985 City Officers Election and
calling a run-off election, if applicable.
�
City Secretary Karen Sparin outlined the results of the City Officers Election
held on April 6, 1985 and presented the caption of the proposed resolution
declaring the results. It was noted that a runroff election was not necessary
and that Tam Powers had been duly elected as Mayor, Shane Wilbanks as Council
Member, Place 1, and Sharron Spencer as Council Member, Place 2.
There being little discussion, Council Member Dyer made a nx�tion that the
resolution be adopted. The motion was seconded by Council Me.�nber Oliver and
prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes . Tate, Ware, Oliver, Brekken, Dyer, & Po�wers
Nays . None
Absent: Glynn

""�"' Council Member Brekken then advised the State Highway Depart7nent was
proceeding with plans for a possible public hearing relative to the widening
of South Main Street frcen Hudgins Street to State Highway 114 and installation
� of curb and gutter. It was her desire to approach the Highway Depari��ent with
the possibility of developing a landscaped median in this project, and she
petitioned Council c�nts on the matter.
NOrt'E: Council Member Glynn arrived during this presentation.
Following brief discussion, the City Staff was directed to place this matter
on the April 16, 1985 Council agenda for further deliberation.
No formal Council action was taken.

There being no further business to come before the City Council, Council
Me.mber Oliver made a motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded
by Council Men�r Dyer and prevailed by the ensuing vote:
Ayes: Tate, Ware, Oliver, Brekken, Dyer, Glynn, & Powers
Nays: None
