CITY OF GRAPEVINE
The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Special Session on
this the 16th day of August, 1983 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers,
413 Main Street, with the follawing members present to�wit:

constituting a quorum, with Council Member Charles Dunn absent, with the
follawing memb�rs of the City Staff:
James L. Hancock City Manager
Bill Eisen Assistant City Manager
John F. Boyle, Jr. City Attorney
J. R. Baddaker Director of Public Works
Karen Spann City Secretary
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tate.
F�CUTIVE SFSSION
Mayor Tate then noted the City Council would recess to the Conference Roan to
discuss litigation and personnel pursuant to Article 6252-17, V.A.T.C.S. ,
Subsections (e) and (g) .

' Mr. Jim Harris, legal counsel representing Lightner Praperties, then
� respectfully requested that, due to the subject matter to be discussed, he be
allawed to sit in on the ensuing session of the City Council.
City Attorney John Boyle then stated that the meeting had been properly
advertised, that the governi.ng body had first convened in open session, and
that the presiding officer had publicly announced that an executive session
was to be held and properly identified the law authorizing said session, thus
allowing the City Council to meet in closed session as provided in the Open
Meetings Act.
Following these comrents, the City Council did then recess to the Conference
Roan to discuss litigation and personnel in closed session.
The City Council reconvened in the Council Chambers after a lengthy Executive
Session. All members were present, with the exception of Council Member
Charles Dunn.
City Manager Jim Hancock reported that no action was necessary by the Council
at this time relative to litigation or personnel.

�'""" There being no further business, Council Member Larry Oliver made a motion to
adjourn. The motion was seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Ware and prevailed by the
follawing vote:

Nays . None
Absent: Dunn
