CALL TO ORDER II. PUBLIC HEARINGS City Council to conduct on-site public hearings at the times described below for the purpose of considering the annexation of said tracts : A. Minters Chapel/Highway 114 -- 4 :00 p.m. B. Highway 26 Right-Of-Way -- 4 :45 p.m. C. High Country Estates -- 5: 30 p.m. III, ADJOURNMENT �� � IN ACCORDANCE �4ITH ARTICLE 6252-17 , V.A.T.C.S. , AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 227 , ACTS OF THE 61ST LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SES- SION, THE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 18TH DAY OF JUNE, 1982 AT 3 : 30 P.M. City Secre y � � STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANI' CITY OF GRAPEVINE The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in S�ecial Session on this the 24th day of June, 1982 at 4:00 p.m, with the follawing persons present to-iait: �� William D. Hancock City Manager John F. Boyle, Jr. City Attorney Shirley Arn�strong City Secretary James R. Baddaker City Engineer CALL TO ORDER Mayor Tate called the meeting to order. ON-SITE PUBLIC HEARING, ANNEXATION MINTERS CHAPEL/HIGHWAY 114 The first order of business was for the City Council to conduct an on-site public hearing relative to the annexation of a thirty acre tract of land located on the east side of Minters Chapel Road near its intersection with Highway 114. �;. �. Mayor Tate declared the public hearing open. �`" The perimeters of the property and the service plan were reviewed. briefly by City Engineer Jim Baddaker. Mayor Tate then asked if there were guests present to speak in regard to the proposed annexation. Mr. Dave Denison, representing Tomlin Properties, ad�ised that he had petitioned for the annexation and asked the Council's favorable consideration. There being no further discussion, Council Member Ron Dyer made a motion to close the public hearing. The motion was seconded by Council Member Brekken and prevailed by the follaaing vote: Ayes: Tate, Ware, Oliver, Shafer, Brekken, Dunn, & Dyer Nays: None Mayor Tate then recessed the meeting for transportation to the second on-site public hearing. ON-SITE PUBLIC HEAR.II�TG, HIGHWAY 26 RIGHT-OF-WAY The next order of business was for the City Council to conduct an on-site �^ public hearing relative to the annexation of Highway 26 right-of-way between Pool Road and Highway 114. ;� Mayor Tate called the Council to order and declared the public hearing open. Members of the City Staff advised that the City of Grapevine had instigated annexation proceedings of the twenty-five acres of right-of way for traffic control purposes. Mayor Tate asked if there were guests present to speak for or against the proposed annexation. There were none. There being no further discussion, Council N1emb�r Dunn made a m�tion to close the public hearing. The mr�tion was seconded by Council l�ember Oliver and prevailed by the follawing vote: 06/24/82 Ayes: Tate, Ware, Oliver, Shafer, Brekken, Dunn, & Dyer Nays: None Mayor Tate then recessed the meeting for transportation to the third on-site public hearing. ON-SITE PUBLIC I�ARING, HIGH COUNTRY FSTATES The ne� order of business was for the City Council to conduct an on-site public hearing relative to the annexation of High Country Estates, a nine acre �w tract of land located in the G. B. Knight Survey. Mayor Tate called the Council to order and declared the public hearing open. �,,. � City Engineer J. R. Baddaker explained the perimeters of the property and the City's service plan for the area. Mayor Tate asked if there were guests present to speak in regard to the proposed annexation. Mary Stone Myers and Fred Joyce advised that they had titioned for annexation ' � Pe and requested the Council s favorable consideration. Following a short discussion among members of the Council, Council Member Brekken made a motion to close the public hearing. The motion was seconded. by Mayor Pro Tem Ware and prevailed by the follawing vote: Ayes: Tate, Ware, Oliver, Dunn, Brekken, Shafer, & Dyer Nays: None AA70URI�'�]T There being no further business to come before the Council, Council Meniber Shafer made a motion to adjourn.
