City Sec eta � �r.r STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANI' CITY OF GRAPEVINE The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Te�s met in Special Workshop Session on this the 27th day of July, 1982 at 6:30 p.m. in the Concourse Center, 3800 Fairway Drive, with the follawing persons present to�wit: ��_� William D. Hancock City Manager Bill Eisen Assistant City Manager Lee Maness Finance Director Shirley Atmstrong City Secretary CALL TO ORDER Mayor Tate called the meeting to order. INVOCATION The Invocation was delivered by Council Me.mber Dunn. DINNER �"" The Council and Ac�ninistrative Staff were then served dinner. WORKSHOP Mayor Tate advised. that the purpose of the special meeting was to revie�a the 1982-83 proposed budget. City Manager Jim Hancock began by presenting a brief overview of the financial condition of the City. He then presented figures relating to the estunated w�orking capital, ad valorem tax revenues and proposed distri.bution, and debt service requirements anticipated during the 1982-83 budget. Proposed budgets for the following departrnents were then reviewed: City Secretary, Street, Municipal Court, Police, Finance, Parks & Recreation, Administration, Mayor and Council, Fire, Li.brary, and Public Works. During the discussion, Park & R�creation Director Kevin Conklin was asked to prepare cost estimates relative to a recreation facility usable for year-round activity, including an indoor swu�ning pool. He was also asked to consider the construction of a band shell for concert purposes at the Parr Road park. There were numerous questions fran the Council, hawever, no formal action was taken regarding the 1982-83 proposed budget. MISCELLANEOUS REPORTS ' City Manager Jim Hancock advised that the remainder of the proposed budget �, would be discussed during a Special Workshop Meeting scheduled for Thursday, August 5. The Council voiced no opposition to the planned workshop. AATOURI�NT There being no further business to came before the Council, Council M�mber Dunri made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Council N1Psnber Dyer and prevailed by the following vote: 0�/2�/s2 Ayes . Tate, Ware, Oliver, Dunn, Brekken, & Dyer Nays .
