ADJOURNMENT AN EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE COUNCIL WAS CALLED RELATIVE TO THIS ITEM BECAUSE IMMEDIATE ACTION IS NECESSARY TO INSURE THE HEALTH, SAFETY, AND GENERAL LaELFARE OF THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS. � IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 6252-17 , V.A.T.C.S. , AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 227 , ACTS OF THE 61ST LEGISLATURE, REGULAR SES- SION, THE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING EMERGENCY AGENDA WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON THIS THE 23RD DAY OF MARCH, 1982 AT 9 : 30 A.M. /t�'!fJ City Secr ary � wr.�+ STATE OF TEXAS COUNrl'Y OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in S�ecial Session on this the 23rd day of March, 1982 at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers with the following persons present to wit: � Ted R. Ware Mayor Pro Tem Charles Dunn Council Member C. L. Oliver Council N1e,zr�er � William Shafer Council Member Marion Brekken Council Member Ron Dyer Council N1�mUer constituting a quorum with Mayor William D. Tate absent, with the follawing memUers of the City Staff: J. R. Baddaker City Engineer Shirley Armstrong City Secretary ('_,pT,T, 'PO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Ware. RECONSTRUCTION OF FAITdnTAY DRIVE 1Kayor Pro Tem Ware advised those in attendance that the only item of business was for the City Council to consider authorizing the temporary reconstruction of the north end of Fairway Drive. City Engineer Jim Baddaker explained the construction plans for a tempc�rary road as a result of flood damage. He advised that Council action would � require authorization to execute a license agreement with the U. S. Corps of IIzgineers and to authorize Tarrant County to proceed with construction of the tentporary facility. � Several members of the Grapevine business community expressed a desire to have the temporary structure completed. Follawing a short discussion, Council Member Brekken made a motion to authorize the City Staff to execute a license agreement with the U. S. Corps of �gineers and to authorize Tarrant County to construct the temporary road. The motion was seconded by Counci]man Oliver and prevailed by the follawing vote: Ayes . Ware, Oliver, Dunn, Shafer, Brekken, & Dyer Nays . None Absent: Tate AAJOURl�]T There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Dyer made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Councilman Shafer and prevailed. by the follawing vote: Ayes . Ware, Oliver, Dunn, Shafer, Brekken, & Dyer �"* Nays .
