AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87-15, AS AMENDED,
RELATING TO THE THOROUGHFARE PLAN 1987-2030
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the Thoroughfare Plan on
� March 17 , 1987 upon the passage of Ordinance No. 87-15; and
WHEREAS, the City Council amended Ordinance No. 87-15 on
October 18 , 1988 by adopting Ordinance No. 88-78 relating to the
Thoroughfare Plan by amending said plan relating to Nash Street,
W. T. Parr Lane and Summerfield Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to further amend Ordinance
No. 87-15 relative to the Thoroughfare Plan by amending said plan
relating to Nash Street; and
WHEREAS, the amendment to the Thoroughfare Plan contained
herein is in the best interest of the public and will further
enhance the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
��,�� Section 1 . That all of the above premises are found to be
true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2 . That Ordinance No. 87-15 , as amended, which
adopted the Thoroughfare Plan 1987-2030 is hereby amended as
follows:
"A. Nash Street, between South Main Street and Berry
Street, shall be deleted from the plan. "
Section 3. That the City Secretary is hereby authorized and
directed to make the appropriate corrections to the Thoroughfare
Plan 1987-2030 in accordance with the terms of this ordinance.
Section 4 . If any section, article, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or application thereto
any person or circumstances is held invalid or unconstitutional
by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance,
and the City Council hereby declares it would have passed such
remaining portions of the ordinance despite such invalidity or
unconstitutionality, which remaining portions shall remain in
full force and effect.
� Section 5 . The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to
properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and
`'�"` general welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires
that this ordinance become effective from and after the date of
its passage, and it is accordingly so ordained.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 21st day of March , 1989 .
