HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 09 - Financial System SupportMEMOTO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: BRUNO RUMBELOW, CITY MANAGER MEETING DATE: OCTOBER 6, 2020 SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO RENEW AN ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR FINANCIAL SYSTEM SUPPORT SERVICES WITH OPENGOV FINANCIALS RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the renewal of an annual contract for financial system licenses and support services with OPENGOV Financials (formerly STW, Inc.) for the Fiscal Services Department. FUNDING SOURCE: Funds for this purchase are available in the General Fund and the Utility Enterprise Fund for an amount not to exceed $40,000. BACKGROUND: The purpose of this contract is to renew the annual license agreement with OPENGOV Financials (formerly STW, Inc.) as well as provide on- going support and maintenance services for the City's finance system. This agreement provides periodic database tuning, analyzes server performance issues, reporting tools and security as it relates to the system. The agreement also provides premium support that can be used for training, projects related to City requested improvements, and other issues that may arise. The original agreement was initiated in 1995 with STW, Inc. to provide these services and has been renewed every year since. STW, Inc. was recently purchased by OPENGOV Financials. Staff recommends approval. JS
