This letter confirms that on October 6, 2020, Historic Preservation staff approved with
conditions #CA20-90 for property addressed at 415 South Dooley Street, legally
described as Block 112, Lot N1/2 1-2, City of Grapevine, Texas. The following was
approved on this Certificate of Appropriateness:
1. Remove the non -original aluminum windows from the house and replace with
new Jeldwen aluminum clad wood windows as follows:
a. a quantity of 7, 6 over 1 double hung windows on front and south side of
the house; reopen the original window opening on the west wall of the rear
wing of the house and install a new window in the original window
opening;
b. a quantity of 2, fixed rectangle windows to replace the front bedroom on
the south side of the house;
c. a quantity of 1 casement window in the bathroom on the south side of the
house; fill in and close the second bathroom window opening with
sheetrock and exterior wood siding;
d. a quantity of 2, fixed decorative accent windows in the existing window
openings in the living room on the north side of the house; fill-in and close
the area below the below the new windows with sheet rock and wood
siding;
2. Construct a new cased opening for double French doors in location of the
existing double windows in the kitchen on the north side of the house;
as per the attached window schedule, drawings and photos with the condition a permit is
obtained from the Building Department and wood French doors to be approved on a
separate Certificate of Appropriateness.
