ORDINANCE NO. 87-73
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87-59 RELATING TO THE
FISCAL YEAR 1987-88 BUDGET; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the City has authorized the renegotiation of a
� contract relating to the purchase of property to be used for
City facilities; and
� WHEREAS, the negotiating of that contract will
necessitate amending the fiscal year 1987-88 budget in order to
transfer �250,000 of the General Fund (heretofore reserved to
be transferred to the Capital Projects Fund to pay indebtedness
incurred for the purchase of a City facilities site) into the
Debt Service Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all of the above premises are found to
be true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
ordinance as if copied in their entirety herein.
Section 2 . That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 87-59 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section l . That the appropriation amounts
for the FY88 budget for the different funds
of the City of Grapevine are hereby fixed as
follows :
General Fund �12,075 ,895
Utility (Water
'��-� & Wastewater) Fund $5,407,006
Debt Service Fund �3, 226, 765
Golf Course Fund $ 885 ,676
CVB Fund �1,653,839
Insurance Fund $ 674, 769
Firemen' s Relief &
Retirement Fund � 4,000
Capital Projects Construction
Fund �9, 318, 371
Water & Wastewater Capital
Recovery Fees $ 428,507"
Section 3 . That the City Manager be and is hereby
authorized to make the appropriate changes to the budget to
reflect the changes noted above.
Section 4. A true copy of this ordinance amending the
Fiscal Year of 87-88 budget shall be filed with the City
Secretary and attached to the budget originally adopted, and
the City Manager is hereby directed to file or cause to be
filed a true copy of the amendments in the office of the County
+� Clerks of Tarrant and Dallas Counties .
Section 5 . The fact that the present ordinances and
��, regulations of the City of Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to
properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and
general welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Grapevine,
Texas, creates an emergency for the immediate preservation of
the public business, property, health, safety, and general
welfare of the public which requires that this ordinance become
effective from and after the date of its passage and it is
accordingly so ordained.
