AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 23 , SECTION 63
OF THE CITY CODE OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS , BY
PRQHIBITING PARKING AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS
DESCRIBED HEREIN; AUTHORIZING THE
ERECTION OF TRAFFIC REGULATION SIGNS;
,�.� REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PRO-
VIDING A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED THE SUM
OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200 . 00) AND A
SEPAR.ATE OFFENSE SHALL BE DEEMED CUN-
MITTED UPON EACH DAY DURING OR ON WHICH
A VIGLATION OCCURS; PROVIDING A SEVER-
�BILITY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COL'NCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1 . That Chapter 23, Section 63 of the City Code of
the City of Grapevine, Texas, is hereby amended to include the
following No Parking designations :
CORPS OF ENGINEERS PARKS, GFcAPEVINE LAKE - No Parking zones
are to be established within fifty feet (50 ' ) of each side
cf the edge of pavement fcr the entire length of the road-
way. Parking shall be prohibited, except in designated
parking areas as constructed by and designated by the U. S .
Army Corps of Engineers, on the following roads :
1 . Meadowmere Park - Park Roads #1 , #2 , #3 , #3A, and #4
� Section 2 . That the City Manager, or his agent, is hereby
authorized to have the proper traffic signs erected, constructed,
,� and placed at such points along said highways , streets, or
alleys, or portions thereof under construction, maintenance, or
repair, sc that travelers will be reasonably notified of said
traffic regulations .
Section 3 . That all ordinances or any parts thereof in
conflict with the terms of this ordinance shall be and hereby are
deemed repealed and of no force or effect provided, however, that
the ordinance or ordinances under which the cases currently filed
and pending in the Municipal Court of the City of Grapevine,
Texas, shall be deemed repealed only when all such cases filed
ar�d pending under such �rdinance or ordinances have been disposed
cf by a final conviction cr a finding not guilty of nolo
contendere, or dismissal.
Section 4 . Any person, firm, or corporation violating any
of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction in the Municipal Court, shall be
fined in an amaunt not to exceed the sum of Two Hundred Dollars
($200 . 00�) for each offense and a separate offense shall be deemed
committed upon each day during or on which a violation occurs .
�" �ection 5 . If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause,
phrase, or provisions of this ordinance shall be judged invalid
or canstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this
�,..,� ordinance as a whole or any portion thereof other than that
portion so decided to be invalid or unccnstitutional .
Section 6 . The fact that the traffic regulations of the
City of Grapevine, Texas do not adequately regulate the traffic
within the City creates an urgency and an emergency and the
preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare requires
that this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after
its passage and the publication of the caption of said ordinance
as the law and the City Charter in such cases provides .
