AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS , AMENDING ARTI-
CLE 7, SECTION 7-162 (e) OF THE GRAPEVTNE
CITY CODE RELATING TO THE PROCESSING OF
APPLICATIONS TO RELOCATE BUILDINGS; PRO-
VIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PR�VID-
ING A SEVERABILITY; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS:
Section l . That Article VII , Section 7-162 (e) of the
Grapevine City Code is hereby amended to read as follows :
"After receiving the application and report of the
Building Official, the City Manager or his designated
representative shall set a date for a public hearing
on the application. Public notice of the public hearing
shall be sent to owners of real property lying within
two hundred (200) feet of the lot or tract of land upon
which the house, building, or structure is to be located,
such notice to be given not less tha:� ten (10 ) days
before the date set for hearing, to all such owners
who have rendered their property for city taxes or as
the ownership appears on the last approved city tax .

Section 2. This ordinance repeals those provisions , and
only those provisions, of all ordinances and sections of the
City Code of Grapevine , Texas, in conflict with the provisions
hereof.
Section 3. Any person violating or failing to comply with
any provision of this ordinance shall be fined upon conviction
not less than one dollar nor more than two hundred dollars , and
each day any violation or non-compliance continues shall consti-
tute a separate offense.
Section 4. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the
City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas, that the sections ,
paragraphs , sentences , clauses and phrases of this ordinance are
severable and if any phrase, clause , sentence, paragraph or sec-
tion hereof should be declared unconstitutional, such unconsti-
tutionality or invalidity shall not affect any of the remaining
phrases , clauses , sentences , paragraphs, or sections of this
ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City
Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such
unconstitutional or invalid phrase , clause, sentence , paragraph,
or section.

Section 5. The fact that the City Code of Grapevine, Texas ,
and other ordinances and regulations of the City of Grapevine,
_ Texas , relating to the moving of houses and other buildings and
structures within the corporate limits of the City of Grapevine ,
Texas, are inadequate creates an emergency for the immediate
preservation of the public business , property, health, safety,
and general welfare of the public which requires that this ordi-
nance shall become effective from and after the date of its
passage as provided by the Charter of the City of Grapevine ,
Texas , and it is accordingly so ordained.
