AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 , SECTION 33 ,
OF THE CITY CODE OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS , BY PRO-
HIBITING VEHICLE TURNING AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS
DESCRIBED HEREIN; AUTHORIZING THE ERECTION OF
TRAFFIC REGULATION SIGNS; REPEALING CONFLICT-
-- ING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1 . The City Code of the City of Grapevine, Texas ,
Chapter 23 , S�ction 33 , is hereby amended by adding Section 33a
prohibiting vehicle left-hand turns at the following designated
locations:
A. No Left Turn From -
Intersection of driveway with west right-of-way
line of Dove Road, said intersection bears 32 °
30 ' E, a distance of 50 feet from the intersec-
tion of the south right-of-way line of Stat�
Highway 114 (Business) and the west right-of-way
line of Dove Road, as shown on the Westview
Business Park plat, recorded in Volume 388-158 ,
Page 10 , Tarrant County Deed Records , Tarrant
County, Texas.
- B. No Left Turn From -
Intersection of driveway with south line of State
Highway 114 (Business) , said intersection bears 89 °
30 ' N, a distance of 45 feet from the intersection
of the south right-of-way line of State Highway 114
(Business) and the west right-of-way line of Dove
Road, as shown on the Westview Business Park plat,
recorded in Volume 388-158 , Page 10 , Tarrant County
Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas.
Section 2. That the City P4anacter, or his agent, is hereby
authorized to have No Left Turn signs erected, constructed, and
placed at such points along said street.
Section 3. That all ordinances or any parts thereof in con-
flict with the terms of this ordinance shall be and hereby are
deemed repealed and of no force or effect, provided, however, that
the ordinance or ordinances under which the cases currently filed
and pending in the Municipal Court of the City of Grapevine , Texas ,
shall be deemed repealed only when all such cases filed and p�ndinc�
under such ordinance or ordinances have been disposed of by a final
conviction or a �inding not guilty of nolo contendere, or dismissal.
S�ction 4. If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause ,
phrase, or provisions of this ordinance shall be judged invalid or
unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this
ordinance as a whole or any portion thereof other than that por-
tion so decided to be invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 5. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of
the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor and, upon conviction in the Municipal Court, shall be
fined in an amount not to exceed the sum of Two Hundred Dollars
($200 . 00) for each offense.
Section 6 . The fact that the traffic regulations of the City
of Grapevine do not adequately regulate the tra�fic within the
City creates an urgency and an emergency and the preservation of
the public health, safety, and welfare requires that this ordinance
shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and the
publication of the caption of said ordinance as the law and the
City Charter in such cases provides.
