AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 , SECTION 30 , OF
THE CITY CODE OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS , BY ADDING STOP
SIGNS AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN;
AUTHORIZING THE ERECTION OF TRAFFIC REGULATION
SIGNS; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVID-
ING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
N0�9, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section l . The City Code of the City of Grapevine , Texas ,
Chapter 23 , Section 30 , is hereby amended by adding stop signs at
the following described locations :
A. � On Northbound Dooley Street at Redbud Drive.
B. On Southbound Dooley Street at Redbud Drive .
C. On Southeast Bound Katie Drive at Dooley Street.
D. On Westbound Dunn Drive at Dooley Street.
E. On Eastbound Corp of Engineers Park Road #8 at
Dooley Street.
Section 2. That the City Manager , or his ag�nt , is hereby
authorized to have stop signs erected, constructed, and placed at
such points along said streets.
� Section 3. That all ordinances or any parts thereof in con-
flict with the terms of this ordinance shall be and hereby are
deemed repealed and of no force or effect provided , however , that
the cases currently filed and pending under such ordinance or
ordinances have been disposed of by a final conviction or a finding
not guilty of nolo contendere , or dismissal .
Section 4 . If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause ,
phrase, or provisions of this ordinance shall be judged invalid or
unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this
ordinance as a whole or any portion thereof other than that por-
tion so decided to be invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 5. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of
the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor and, upon conviction in the Municipal Court, shall be
fined in an amount not to exceed the sum of Two Hundred Dollars
($200 . 00) for each offense.
Section 6 . The fact that the traffic regulations of the City
of Grapevine do not adequately regulate the traffic within the
City creates an urgency and an emergency and the preservation of
the public health, safety, and welfare requires that this ordinance
shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and the
publication of the caption of said ordinance as the law and the
City Charter in such cases provides .
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPE-
VINE, TEXAS on this the 3rd day of May, 1983 .
