AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPE-
VINE, TEXAS , ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC
CONTROL SIGNALS EXHIBITIIQG DIFFERENT
COLORED LIGHTS AT SPECIFIED LOCATIONS
IN ACCORDANCE 4�ITH ARTICLE 6701D TEX.

IPJG A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING
A PENALTY; APJD DECLARING AN ENERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPE-
VINE, TEXAS :
Section l. That the City Council does hereby find that
the safety of the traveling public and of the citizens of the
City of Grapevine requires traffic control signals exhibiting
different colored lights, green, red, and yellow, successively,
one at a time or in combination, which lights shall indicate
and apply to drivers of vehicles and pedestrians in accordance
with Section 33 of Article 6701d which requires the placement of
said traffic control signals at the following locations:
(A} On Northwest Highway (Business State Highway 114)
at its intersection with Dove Road
(B) On Northwest Highway (Business State Highway 114)
at its intersection with Park Boulevard
(C) On Main Street (State Highway 26) at its inter-
section with Wall Street
(D) On Main Street (State Highway 26) at its inter-
section with Worth Street
(E) On Main Street (State Highway 26) at its inter-
section with College Street
(F) On W. D. Tate Avenue (State Highway 121) at its
intersection with Ira E. Woods Avenue (State
Highway 26) and Ball Street
Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any driver of a vehi-
cle or pedestrian to fail to obey said traffic control signals .
Section 3. If any section, article, paragraph, sentence ,
clause, phrase, or word in this ordinance, or application there-
to to any person or circumstances is held invalid or unconsti-
tutional by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such holding
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of the
ordinance and the City Council hereby declares it would have
passed such remaining portions of the ordinance despite such
invalidity, which remaining portions shall remain in full force
and effect.
Section 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and sub-
ject to a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 . 00) for
each offense and each and every day any such violation shall
exist or continue shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 5. The fact that no present ordinances of the
City of Grapevine exist which establish traffic control sig-
nals exhibiting different colored lights at specified locations
in accordance with Article 6701d Tex. Rev. Civ. Stat. Ann. ,
Uniform Act Regulating Traffic on Highways , creates an urgency
and an emergency and in the preservation of the public health,
safety, and welfare requires that this Ordinance shall take
effect immediately from and after its passage and the publi-
cation of the caption as the law and charter in such cases
provides.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 2nd day of February, 1982 .
