AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 ,
SECTION 63 , OF THE CITY CODE TO
PROHIBIT PARKING IN SPECIFIC DESIG-
NATED LOCATIONS ON STATE HIGHWAY 26 ;
PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; REPEALING CON-
FLICTING ORDINANCES; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY
I3E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPE`IINE, TEXAS :

3ection l . Chapter 23, Section 63, of the City Code of
the C_�ty of Grapevine, Texas , is hereby amended to include
the following:
:3tate Highway Twenty Six (26 ) , No parking as follows :
I3EGINNING at the intersection of the centerline of
]�oole Road (Station 302 , State Department of High-
ways and Public Transportation) and the centerline
c�f S. H. 26 ;
'.I'hence Northeasterly along said S. H. 26 a distance
of 5 , 974 feet to a noint (Station 361 + 74 , State
Department of Highways and Public Transportation) ;
'.Phence Northeasterly, perpendicular to the centerline
c�f said S. H. 26 to the Easterly right-of-way of said
;;. H. 26 ;
'.Phence Southwest along the Easterly right-of-way of
;;. H. 26 to its intersection with the centerline of
Poole Road; '

�Phence Northwesterly along the centerline of Poole
]�oad to its intersection with the centerline of
,5. H. 26 .
;3ection 2 . The City Manager is hereby directed to coop�-
erate with the State Department of Highways and Public Trans-
porta�tion to cause appropriate signs to be posted to appraise
the public of the "No Parking" zone and to give them notice
therec�f.
�Section 3 . Any person violating or failing to comply
with ��ny provisions of this ordinance shall be fined upon con-
victic�n not less than One Dollar ($1. 00 ) nor more than Two
HundrE=_d Dollars ($200 . 00 ) and each day any violation of non-
compl:iance continues shall constitute a separate offense.
�Section 4 . It is hereby declared to be the intention of
the C.ity Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas, that the
sectic�ns, paragraphs , sentences , clauses , and phrases of this
ordin,�nce are severable and any phrase , clause, sentence , para-
graph, or section hereof should be declared unconstitutional ,
such �unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any
of th�� remaining phrases , clauses , sentences , paragraphs , or
secti��ns of this ordinance , since the same would have been
enact��d by the City Council without the incorporation in this
ordinance of any such unconstitutional , invalid phrase, clause ,
sentence, paragraph, or section.
Section 5. Al1 ordinances and parts of ordinances in
confl:ict herewith are hereby repealed.
3ection 6 . The fact that the present ordinances and
regul��tions of the City of Grapevine are inadequate to pro-
tect :its citizens within the corporate limits of the City of
Grapevine , creates an emergency for the immediate preservation
of thE=_ public business , property, health, safety, and general
welfa:re of the public , which requires that this ordinance shall
become effective from and after the date of its passage as pro-
vided by the Charter of the City of Grapevine , and it is accord-
ingly so ordained.
