AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 , SEC-
TION 30 , OF THE CITY CODE OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS , BY ADDING STOP SIGNS AT CERTAIN
LOCATIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN; AUTHORIZING
THE ERECTION OF TRAFFIC REGULATION SIGNS;
REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVID-
- ING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
PENALTY; AND DECLARING AN EPZERGENCY
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section l . The City Code of the City of Grapevine ,
Tex�as, Chapter 23, Section 30 , is hereby amended by adding
a stop sign at the following described location:
A. On Southbound Highway 121 at Glade Road.
Section 2. That the City Manager, or his agent, is
her�eby authorized to have a stop sign erected, constructed,
and placed at such point along said street.
Section 3. That all ordinances or any parts thereof in
conflict with the terms of this ordinance shall be and hereby
� are deemed repealed and of no force or effect provided, how-
ever , that the ordinance or ordinances under which the cases
currently filed and pending in the Municipal Court of the
City of Grapevine, Texas , shall be deemed repealed only when
all such cases filed and pending under such ordinance or
ordinances have been disposed of by a final conviction or a
finding not guilty of nolo contendere, or dismissal.
Section 4 . If any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, or provisions of this ordinance shall be
judged invalid or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect
the validity of this ordinance as a whole or any portion
thereof other than that portion so decided to be invalid or
unconstitutional. -
Section 5. Any person, firm, or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction in the Muni-
cipal Court, shall be fined in an amount not to exceed the
sum, of Two Hundred Dollars ($200 . 00 ) for each offense.
� Section 6 . The fact that the traffic regulations of the
� City of Grapevine do not adequately regulate the traffic with-
' in the City creates an urgency and an emergency and the pre-
servation of the public health, safety, and welfare requires
tha.t this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and
aft.er its passage and the publication of t.he caption of said
ord.inance as the law and the City Charter in such cases pro-
vid.e s.
