ORDIIQANCE NO. 81-1
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 , SECTION
30 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GRAPE-
VINE, TEXAS, BY ADDING STOP SIGNS AT CER-
TAIN LOCATIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN; AUTHORIZING
THE ERECTION OF TRAFFIC REGULATION SIGNS;
REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING
A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY;
AND DECLARIIQG AN EMERGENCY
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section l. The City Code of Grapevine, Texas , Chapter
23, Section 30, is hereby amended by adding stop signs at
the following described locations :
(1) Located in the southeast quadrant
of the intersection of William D.
Tate Avenue and the westbound S .H.
1�4 service road controlling north-
bound traffic on William D. Tate Ave.
(2) Located in the northwest quadrant
of the intersection of William D.
Tate Avenue and the westbound
S.H. 114 service road controlling
southbound traffic on William D.
Tate Avenue.
- (3) Located in the northwest quadrant
of the intersection between William
D. Tate Avenue and the eastbound
S.H. 114 service road controlling
southbound traffic on William D.
Tate Avenue.
(4) Located in the southeast quadrant of
the intersection of William D. Tate
Avenue and the eastbound S .H. 114
service road controlling northbound
traffic
Section 2. That the City Manager or his agent, is
hereby authorized to have stop signs erected, constructed
and placed at such points along said streets.
Section 3. That all ordinances or any parts thereof
in conflict with the terms of this ordinance shall be and
hereby are deemed repealed and of no force or effect pro-
vided however, that the ordinance or ordinances under which
the cases currently filed and pending in the Municipal Court
of the City of Grapevine, Texas , shall be deemed repealed only
when all such cases filed and pending under such ordinance or
ordinances have been disposed of by a final conviction or a
finding not guilty of nolo contendere, or dismissal.
Section 4. If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause,
phrase or provisions of this ordinance shall be judged invalid
or unconstitutional the same shall not affect the validity
of this ordinance as a whole or any portion thereof other than
that portion so decided to be invalid or unconstitutional.

Section 5. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any
of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of
a misdemeanor and upon conviction in the DZunicipal Court, shall
be fined in an amount not to exceed the sum of Two Hundred
Dollars ($200. 00) for each offense.
Section 6. The fact that the traffic regulations of the
City of Grapevine do not adequately regulate the traffic within
the City creates an urgency and an emergency and the preservation
of the public health, safety and welfare requires that this
ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage and the publication of the caption of said ordinance
as the law and the City Charter in such cases provides.
