AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AMEND-
ING CHAPTER 6 , SECTIONS 22 , 23 , AND
26A, B, & C, OF THE CITY CODE BY
SUBSTITUTING THE WORDS "COURT AD-
MINISTRATOR OR DESIGNATED CASHIER
CLERK" IN LIEU OF "COLLECTOR OF
TAXES" ; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS :
Section 1. That Chapter 6, Sections 22 , 23, 26a, 26b,
and 26c are hereby amended to substitute the term "Court
Administrator or designated cashier clerk" in lieu of
"Collector of Taxes" .
Section 2. If any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, or provisions of this ordinance shall be
judged invalid or unconstitutional, the same shall not
affect the validity of this ordinance as a whole or any
portion thereof, other than that portion so decided to be
invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 3. The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City of Grapevine are inadequate to pro-
tect its citizens within the corporate limits of the City of
Grapevine creates an emergency for the immediate preserva-
�� tion of the public business, property, health, safety, and
general welfare of the public, which requires that this ordi-
nance shall become effective from and after the date of its
"`�` passage as provided by the Charter of the City of Grapevine,
and it is accordingly so ordained.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 6th day of October, 1981.
