The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in
special session on this the lOth day of July, 1980 at
7 :30 P.M. , at the Grapevine Concourse Center with the
following persons present to-wit:
Ted R. Ware Mayor Pro Tem
C.L. Oliver Council Member

Marion Brekken Council Member

constituting a quorum with Mayor William D. Tate and Coun-
cil Member Charles Dunn absent, with the following members
of the City Staff:
James L. Hancock City Manager
Bill Eisen Assistant City Manager
Kevin ConTclin Park & Recreation Director
5hirley Armstrong City Secretary
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Pro Tem Ware called the meeting to order.
PUBLIC HEARING
Mayor Pro Tem Ware advised those in attendance that the purpose
of the special meeting was for the City Council to conduct a
public hearing in an effort to receive citizen participation
and views relative to the Grapevine Lake Action Plan. He then
declared the public hearing open.

Park and Recreation Director Mr. Kevin Conklin briefly out-
' lined the overview of the proposed action plan and indicated
�. that there were four major areas of concern:
(1) Glass breakage and litter; (2) Oak Grove Park Areas;
(3) Rockledge Park; and (4) Silverlake Park
Grapevine Lake Reservour Manager, Mr. Jerry Brite then con-
ducted a slide presentation in which various areas of the lake
were shown, emphasizing problem areas versus the ideal lake
facilities.
A question and answer period was then conducted during which
. approximately twenty citizens expressed concerns.
Following the close of the Public Hearing, those in attendance
were assured that every consideration would be given to their
ideas and were graciously thanked for their participation.
There being no further business to come before the Council,
Mayor Pro Tem Ted Ware declared the meeting adjourned.
