ORDINANCE NO. 80-70
AN ORDINANCE ANIENDING THE CITY CODE OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, CHAPTER 7, ARTICLE VII,
SECTION 7-160 RELATING TO THE 1�10VING OF
BUILDINGS BY ADDING DEFINITION OF HOUSE,
BUILDING OR STRUCTURE; PROVIDING A SEVER-
ABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY AND DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVII�TE,
' TEXAS:

Section 1. That the City Code of the City of Grapevine Chapter 7,
Article VII, Section 7-160 is hereby amended by adding the following definition:
"New or used house, building or structure or any
assembled portion of such house, building or structure
shall mean any structure except structures not used or
intended to be occupied for any purpose except as a
storage facility, said structures not to be electrically
wired or provided with plumbing facilities, and which
structure does not exceed eight (8) feet in height and
ten (10) feet by ten (10) feet in width and length,
provided said structure complies with the City's zoning
and building ordinances and all other applicable ordi-
nances."
Section 2. Severability. If any section, sentence, phrase, word,
paragraph, or provision of this ordinance or the application of that section,
sentence, phrase, word, paragraph, or provision to any person, situation or
_ circumstances is for any reason adjudged invalid, the adjudication shall not
affect any other section, sentence, phrase, word, paragraph or provision of this
�. ordinance or the application of any other section, sentence, phrase, �vord,
paragraph, or provision to any other person, situation, or circumstanees, nor shall
such adjudication affect any other section, sentence, phrase, word, paragraph or
� provision of the Grapevine City Code. The City Council declares that it would
have adopted the valid portions and applications of this ordinance without the
invalid part, and to this end the provisions of this ordinnce are declared to be
severable.
Section 3. Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof, shall be fined $1.00 to $200.00, and each day such violation continues
' shall constitute a separate and distinet offense.
Section 4. Emergency. The fact that the present ordinances and
regulations of the City o� Grapevine, Texas, are inadequate to properly
safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace, and general welfare of the
inhabitants of the City of Grapevine, Texas, creates an emergency for the
immediate preservation of public business, property, health, safety, and general
welfare of the public which requires that this ordinance shall become effective
from and after the date of its passage and it is accordingly so ordained.
