(Larry) Oliver Councilman :� Doil Dalton Councilman William Shafer Councilman Charles Dunn Councilman � const 'ituting a quorum with the following City Staff Members : James L. Hancock City Manager Shirley Armstrong City Secretary CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tate. a � INVOCATION Councilman Dunn delivered the Invocation. � RESOLUTION - CANVASSING BALLOTS � Mayor Tate advised Council Members that the purpose of the special meeting was to canvass the ballots of the z April 7th City Officers Election and to call a run-off 5 election. � ; ; The City Secretary then read the proposed resolution � which contained the results of the election. The resolution also provided for a run-off eleation (Place , Six) to be held on April 21, 1979 at Cannon Elementary School. Councilman Daltan then made a motion to adopt the resolution canvassing the ballots of the April 7th election and calling a run-off election for April 21st, 1979. The motion was seconded by Councilman Florence and prevailed by the follow- ;' ing vote: Ayes : Tate, Florence, Oliver, Dalton, Ware, Dunn, & Shafer Nays : None RESOLUTION NO. 79-9 A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE BALLOTS OF THE APRIL 7, 1979 CITY OFFICERS ELECTION AND CALLING A RUN-OFF ELECTION FOR APRIL 21, 1979. µ � � �: � 04/09/79 1 1 J There being no further business to come before the Council, � Councilman Dunn made a motion to adjourn.
