A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS SUPPORTING A STRONG
NATIONAL DRUG POLICY FOR AMERICA; PROVIDING
THAT A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION BE FORWARDED
TO THE NATIONAL DRUG CONTROL POLICY COr1MITTEE
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, illegal drugs are everywhere--big cities, small
�,,,, communities, the countryside; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to aggressively attack the enemy that
is destroying our nation from within; and
WHEREAS, public officials and concerned citizens desire to
support a strong national drug policy against illegal drugs; and
WHEREAS, there are many innocent victims among the grieving
families and friends of every drug addict; and
WHEREAS, our communities and our country must unite to demand
a change in our national drug policy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GR.APEVINE, TEXAS:
Section l . That the Grapevine City Council supports the
development of a strong, national drug control policy that is
�� aggressive and effective against illegal drugs .
Section 2 . That this resolution be forwarded to the Director
� of the National Drug Control Policy Committee.
Section 3 . That this resolution shall take effect immediately
from and after the date of its passage in accordance with the
provision of the Charter of the City of Grapevine, and so
accordingly so resolved.
