A RESOLUTION INSTITUTING A NEW ZONING
CASE OR CASES IN ORDER TO CONSIDER
AMENDING AND CHANGING THE CITY'S COMPRE-
HENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE
NO. 82-73 , AS AMENDED, SAME ALSO BEING
��) KNOWN AS APPENDIX "D" OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS BY AMENDING SECTION 13 RELATING TO
"R-20" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT;
SECTION 14 RELATING TO "R-12 .5" SINGLE-
FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT; SECTION 15
RELATING TO "R-7 .5" SINGLE-FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT; SECTION 16 RELATING
TO "R-5 . 0" ZERO LOT LINE ZONIG DISTRICT;
SECTION 20 RELATING TO "R-TH" TOWNHOUSE
ZONING DISTRICT AND SECTION 60 RELATING
TO SIGN STANDARDS; AUTHORIZING THE
ADVERTISEMENT FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS
PURSUANT TO TEX. REV. CIV. STAT. ANN.
ART. 1011a-1011e; SETTING A DATE FOR
PUBLIC HEARING; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to consider amendments and
changes to certain hereinafter described sections of the City' s
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, Ordinance No. 82-73, same being
also known as Appendix "D" of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Grapevine, Texas (the "Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance") ; and
'"�� WHEREAS, by the passage of this resolution, the City Council
does hereby institute a new zoning case or cases to consider said
„�,,,,, amendments and changes and does instruct the City Staff to
proceed in a reasonable and expeditious manner to satisfy the
statutory notice requirements necessary to call a Public Hearing
or Hearings in order to allow the Planning & Zoning Commission
and City Council to consider said amendments and changes in
accordance with applicable State law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That all matters stated above are found to be
true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
resolution as if copied herein in their entirety.
Section 2 . The City Council does hereby institute a new
zoning case or cases to consider amending and changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance pursuant to and in accordance with
appliCable State law by amending Section 13 relating to "R-20"
Single-Family Dwelling District, Section 14 relating to "R-12 . 5"
�„n, Single-Family Dwelling District, Section 15 relating to "R-7 . 5"
Single-Family Dwelling District, Section 16 relating to "R-5. 0"
Zero Lot Line Zoning District, Section 20 relating to "R-TH"
Townhouse Zoning District and Section 60 relating to Sign
"'�' Standards.
Section 3. The City Council does hereby direct, authorize
and instruct the City Staff to proceed in a reasonable and
expeditious manner to satisfy the statutory notice requirements
necessary to call a Public Hearing or Hearings in order to allow
the Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council to consider
said amendments and changes in accordance with applicable State
law, and to take all other necessary and appropriate action.
Section 4 . That a public hearing to consider proposed
amendments to Section 13 relating to "R-20" Single-Family
Dwelling District, Section 14 relating to "R-12. 5" Single-Family
Dwelling District, Section 15 relating to "R-7. 5" Single-Family
Dwelling District, Section 16 relating to "R-5.0" Zero Lot Line
Zoning District, Section 20 relating to "R-TH" Townhouse Zoning
District and Section 60 relating to Sign Standards shall be held
on July 21 , 1987.
° Section 5. That this resolution shall take effect from and
after the date of its passage.
