A RESOLUTION FINDING THAT A PUBLIC
NECESSITY AND NEED EXISTS FOR THE CITY
TO ACQUIRE A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND,
BESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS
�i- RESOLUTION, FOR DRAINAGE EASEMENT
PURPOSES; AUTHORIZING AN OFFER; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO FILE

CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS :
Section l . That the City Council does hereby find that a
public necessity and need exists in the City in order for the
City to improve its drainage facilities on all of that lot,
tract, or parcel of land situated within the City limits of the
City of Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas, and described in
Exhibit "A" , attached hereto and made a part hereof, for easement
purposes from the owner of the property, Richard M. Biggar, et
ux.
Section 2. That the tract of land to be acquired is for the
purpose of constructing and maintaining a drainage channel on the
property described in Exhibit "1�" .
Section 3 . That the City Manager is instructed to offer the
owner the sum of $12, 300 . OQ as cost consideration for the
ti drainage easement. In the event the owner rejects the offer, the
City Attorney is directed to file a condemnation suit in Tarrant
�. County in order to permit the City to obtain the tract of land
pursuant to its power of eminent domain.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 3rd day of September, 1985 .

� DRAINAGE EASEMENT
BEING a tract of land situated in the J. W. Haynes Survey,
Abstract No. 788 , in the City of Grapevine, Tarrant County,
Texas, and being a portion of that certain tract ef land conveyed
to Richard M. Biggar as recorded in Volume 6277 , Page 810 , Deed
Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and being more particularly
described as follows :
BEGINNING at a point in the west line of said Biggar tract,
said point being located N 00° 51 ' 00" W, 596 . 96 feet from the
southwest corner of said Biggar tract;
THENCE N 00° 51 ' 00" W, 17 . 35 feet with the west line of
said Biggar tract to a point for corner;
THENCE S 60° 40 ' 35" E, 49 . 74 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 00° 51 ' 00" W, 15 . 00 feet to a goint for corner;
�" THENCE N 89° 09 ' 00" E, 239 . 50 feet to a point for corner,
said point being in the east line of said Biggar tract;
